John Byrne played a significant part in arguably York City's greatest ever team having become the first team in history to get over 100 points in a season. Here John talks about how he came to sign for York City, the battles he had in the early days to the successes under Denis Smith which catapulted his career. John discusses the moves to QPR, Le Harve as well as representing the Republic of Ireland before achieving cult status at Sunderland for scoring in every round on the way to the FA Cup Final in 1992.
